Disbursements

A disbursement is the distribution of monies collected by the court to other public entities or restitution recipients. Disbursements represent an important part of court business because the courts are not entitled to keep the dollars they receipt. Apart from court-ordered restitution, state and county laws direct the apportionment of monies collected by the court.

Refunds and vouchers are not counted in disbursement totals within these dashboards.
