Membership requirements for the IOLTA Board

Applicants should be familiar with legal practice and procedure in Pennsylvania federal or state courts. Experience with financial institution practices is also beneficial.

The IOLTA Board usually meets four times per year in the eastern, middle and western parts of the Commonwealth. Meetings last from one-half to one full day. Additionally, each member serves on one or two of four subcommittees. Each subcommittee meets by telephone conference for one or two meetings. Finally, the Board conducts site visits to two Pennsylvania law schools per year.
