Regional Autism Roundtable in Philadelphia - Jan. 26, 2021
Justice Dougherty, on behalf of the Supreme Court along with the Bureau of Autism Services and Drexel University will host the first of five roundtable discussions on autism in the courts with representatives from the judiciary, Bureau of Autism Services, advocates, law enforcement, individuals with autism and others.
The event was the first of a five-part listening tour scheduled in regions across the state.
Statewide Autism Roundtable, Nov. 17, 2020
Committed to access to justice for Pennsylvanians with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, along with the Department of Human Services (DHS) held a virtual forum – Autism and the Courts – a Statewide Discussion, aimed at learning about court experiences from individuals with an ASD.
Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Kevin Dougherty along with DHS and representatives from the judiciary, law enforcement, healthcare, social work and advocacy communities and those living with and/or supporting someone with an ASD participated in a virtual roundtable on challenges faced by individuals with autism as they seek access to justice.
