Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Reappoints Superior Court Judge Anne Lazarus to JCB

The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has reappointed Superior Court Judge Anne E. Lazarus to the Judicial Conduct Board.

Judge Lazarus was reappointed to a term beginning March 20, 2013, and expiring Aug. 31, 2015.

The Judicial Conduct Board consists of three judges, three lawyers and six members who are not lawyers. The board was created by constitutional amendment in 1993 to act as an independent state agency.

Half of the board members are chosen by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, and the remainder by the governor. Board members meet regularly to investigate complaints of judicial misconduct and, if warranted, file formal charges with the Court of Judicial Discipline.
