Superior Court to Hold “Mega Seminar” in Luzerne County

The Superior Court of Pennsylvania will hold a “mega seminar” for the Pennsylvania State Police and local police departments from 10 a.m. until noon, Friday, May 10 in the Graham Building on the Penn State-Hazleton campus.

State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan, Assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle Olshefski, Luzerne County Assistant District Attorney Jarrett Ferentino and Superior Court President Judge Correale Stevens will cover topics such as recent search-and-seizure decisions, tips on testifying in the courtroom and the roles of Pennsylvania trial and appellate courts.

The purpose of the seminar is to review recent case law and provide insights into the court and legal process that will assist our law enforcement in the performance of their duties.

Pennsylvania Cable Network will cover the event for later broadcast.

Representatives from the state police, various local police departments, area magisterial district judges, the district attorney’s office and state attorney general’s office will attend.
