The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has appointed Allegheny County Judge Kim Berkeley Clark to the Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court rules committees.

Judge Clark was designated as a member of both committees in her capacity as administrative judge of the family division of the Allegheny Court of Common Pleas. She will serve on both committees for a term to be determined by the Supreme Court.

The Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee was created by the Supreme Court to simplify domestic relations practice by recommending amendments to the procedural rules relating to support, custody, divorce and protection from abuse. The committee also reviews new legislation and court decisions to ensure that the rules conform with developments in the law as well as the realities of domestic relations practice.

The Juvenile Court Procedural Rules Committee advises the Supreme Court on matters relating to the procedural rules governing actions for juvenile delinquency and dependency courts. The primary goal of the committee is to simplify juvenile delinquency and dependency law practice by recommending new rules or amendments to existing procedural rules. The committee reviews legislation and monitors court decisions to ensure that the rules conform to developments in the law as well as to the realities of juvenile law practice.
