Ever wonder where the money from a traffic ticket goes?

A summary of fees and costs associated with moving traffic violations is now available on the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania’s website.

To access the details, go to the Minor Courts page and click on the Traffic Ticket Costs button on the right-hand side of the page in the References box.

The summary details the amounts assessed for court costs and fines in addition to those directed by Pennsylvania law to emergency medical services, general fund purposes and the state court system’s judicial computer program. The fees are set in state law by the General Assembly.
