Profiles of Two Supreme Court Justices to Air on PCN-TV

Two Supreme Court justices seeking retention will appear this week on special editions of the Pennsylvania Cable Network’s “On the Issues” program.

Profiles of Chief Justice of Pennsylvania Ronald D. Castille and Justice Max Baer will air as part of the statewide television network’s “Election 2013” series.  The program featuring Justice Baer can be seen at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29.  It will be rebroadcast at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30.  The show featuring Chief Justice Castille, will air at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30.  It will be rebroadcast at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.  The 30-minute profiles were pretaped for broadcast.

Chief Justice Castille was elected to the court in 1993.  He has served as chief justice since 2008.  He formerly was district attorney of Philadelphia.  Elected to the Supreme Court in 2003, Justice Baer previously was an administrative judge on the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and a state deputy attorney general.  He is the court liaison for legal matters that concern children and families.
