Voters have elected three new members to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Superior Court judges David Wecht and Christine Donohue of Allegheny County and Philadelphia Judge Kevin Dougherty all won seats on the state’s highest court. Their new 10-year terms begin the first Monday in January — the start of the judicial year.

It was the first time three seats on the high court were open in an election in modern times.

In other statewide judicial contests, Philadelphia Judge Alice Beck Dubow won a seat on the Superior Court and Pittsburgh lawyer Michael Wojcik earned a spot on the Commonwealth Court.
