Judiciary Budget Relative to State Budget

News Article

February 18, 2016

Pennsylvania’s Unified Judicial System supports hundreds of magisterial, trial and appellate courts statewide that process 2.8 million new cases per year. Pennsylvania courts information technology systems also support more than 38,000 law enforcement and public safety officials, who rely on the courts’ case management systems to perform their daily duties.

But did you know that the judicial system performs its duties with only one half of one percent of the overall state budget? A high-resolution file of the graphic is available for download at www.pacourts.us under Media Resources.
