Court Administrator



Appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Andrea Tuominen became the commonwealth’s eighth court administrator on Oct. 1, 2023.  She is the first woman attorney to hold the position.

With over three decades of service to the Pennsylvania Judiciary, Andrea has held various roles within the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) including assistant court administrator and deputy court administrator.  As court administrator, she leads 286 employees within the 14 AOPC departments, and oversees court operations statewide.

Previously, she served on the Supreme Court’s Special Commission to Limit Campaign Expenditures and the Intergovernmental Task Force to Study the Magisterial District Courts. 

Andrea is a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations, National Association for Court Management, and the Pennsylvania Association of Court Management.  She was the recipient of the 2019 Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Government Lawyer of the Year award and served as co-chair of the PBA's Commission on Women in the Profession, as well as other executive council positions.  She was the liaison to the PBA Task Force on Electronic Filing and Retrieval and PBA Joint Task Force on Continuity of Delivery of Legal Services. She is an observer participant on the Uniform Law Commission’s Drafting Committee on Redaction of Personal Information from Public Records, having previously participated on the study committee.

Andrea received her JD from the Villanova University School of Law and her BA (cum laude) from Skidmore College.
