The Department of Human Resources monitors and ensures compliance within the Unified Judicial System with state and federal employment statutes.
The department is responsible for maintaining employee benefit programs, counseling judicial personnel on the provisions and use of benefits and administering the employee leave accounting program and the UJS unemployment compensation and workers' compensation programs.
The department formulates and administers personnel policies and procedures, assists managers in the hiring process, develops and administers hiring procedures, and administers position classification and pay plans for the UJS. The department also monitors and administers the UJS performance management system and develops training curriculum, policies and procedures for judiciary personnel.
