Description

This professional analyst position will provide support to the Unified Judicial System (UJS) Web Portal and the applications and functional areas contained within. The position requires strong analytical and production management skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Primary Duties

  • Writes and edits user support documentation and presentations. Documents scripts for run-throughs and presentations. Works with users to define concepts under direction of project managers.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes issues with applications. Works with IT to identify and test bug fixes.
  • Assists in writing and reviewing detailed requirements and specifications. Identifies requirements using interviews, documents analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
  • Monitors processes such as workflows and auditing. Assists with design of new applications by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.
  • Provides help desk and second level support and training assistance to end users. Provides daily remote or onsite support to end users including logging and monitoring calls in TICKETS tracking system.
  • Monitors integration points with applications such as Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Test Manager.
  • Populates look-up entries and option sets. Assists with the population of migrated data and in data clean up.
  • Works to improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications for review and approval.
  • Assists with defining project requirements by identifying project milestones and phases. Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, and recommending actions.
  • Measures and analyzes incoming software issues to determine root causes and recommends technical and training solutions to minimize reoccurrences. Assists with rollout and implementation planning and execution.
  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Acts as the liaison between the customer community and the software development team. Represents the department and presents information regarding our web portal applications at committee meetings, conferences, and symposiums with internal and external audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with an IT-related major or minor; AND
  • Three years of experience in the IT specialty in which to be employed.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and / or training may be considered.

Additional Requirements/Preferences

  • Satisfactory criminal background check required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Periodic statewide travel, including overnight stays, required.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills required.
