They Carried Us: The Impact of Philadelphia's Black Women Leaders on Cultural Competence Within Our Legal Community and Courts

This program will emphasize the line connecting our nation’s Constitution, Emancipation, and Reconstruction with the work of African American women lawyers and judges throughout Philadelphia’s history. The impact of their work on today’s courts will be highlighted, particularly through the lens of cultural competence, with a focus on the ethical obligations of attorneys and judges.

1 Substantive Credit and .5 Ethics Credit. Free CJE for FJD Judges. Free CLE for FJD Law Clerks. $1.50 per CLE credit for FJD Hearing Officers. $85.00 per CLE credit for attorneys and non-FJD Law Clerks.
