Pennsylvania Supreme Court Announces Juvenile Court Rules Committee Changes

HARRISBURG, March 17, 2009 — The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has announced three appointments and officer designations on the Juvenile Court Procedural Rules Committee. The Hon. J. Brian Johnson, a Lehigh County Common Pleas Court judge, was appointed for a term expiring Feb. 1, 2012. Deborah Gordon Klehr, Esq. and Alan M. Lerner, Esq., both of Philadelphia, also were appointed for terms that expire Feb. 1, 2012. Cynthia K. Stoltz, Esq., of Allegheny County, was designated committee chair. In addition, George D. Mosee Jr., Esq., of Philadelphia, was reappointed to the committee for a three-year term, that expires Feb. 1, 2012 — and designated committee vice chair. The Juvenile Court Procedural Rules Committee is an advisory body to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania that is responsible for examining and evaluating the rules and standards governing juvenile dependency and delinquency procedure and practice. The committee is comprised of nine members and one ex-officio member who serve terms of three years. Members may serve a maximum of two full terms.
