Supreme Court appoints two judges to Minor Court Rules Committee

HARRISBURG, October 3, 2006 — The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania today announced the appointment of Magisterial District Judges Mark A. Bruno and Blaise P. Larotonda to the Minor Court Rules Committee. Bruno, of Chester County, was appointed for a term expiring August 9, 2009. Larotonda, of Allegheny County, was appointed for a term expiring September 6, 2009. The Minor Court Rules Committee examines and evaluates the rules and standards regarding the conduct of magisterial district judges and their offices. It also recommends new rules and amendments to existing rules of civil procedure for magisterial district judges to the Supreme Court. The committee is comprised of eight members who serve terms of three years: seven appointed and one ex-officio district court administrator representing the Pennsylvania Association of Court Management. Members may serve a maximum of two full terms.
