Supreme Court Appoints Member to the Judicial Council of Pennsylvania

Harrisburg, February 21, 2001 – The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania yesterday announced the appointment of Joseph P. Conti, Esq. as the newest member to the Judicial Council of Pennsylvania. Mr. Conti of Erie County also serves as committee chairman of the Criminal Procedural Rules Committee. The Council is an advisory body with broad-based membership from three branches of state government, the legal community, and citizens-at-large. Its primary responsibility is making recommendations to the Supreme Court on any matter referred to it by the court. The Council consists of 27 members. Each member’s term is three years in length and a member may be selected or reappointed any number of times.
