Pennsylvania Supreme Court Appoints Swearingen to the Minor Court Rules Committee

HARRISBURG, August 29. 2001 — The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania today announced the appointment of District Justice Carla M. Swearingen to the Minor Court Rules Committee. Swearingen, of Allegheny County, was appointed to a three-year term. The Minor Court Rules Committee examines and evaluates the rules and standards regarding the conduct of district justices and their offices. It also recommends new rules and amendments to existing rules of civil and criminal procedure for district justices to the Supreme Court. The committee is comprised of seven members who serve terms of three years. Members may serve a maximum of two full terms
