Top 10 criminal convictions in Pennsylvania

According to data from the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, statewide criminal convictions are at a four-year low. When compared with criminal convictions from 2012 through 2015, 238,616 people were convicted of criminal offenses from the top 10 list of criminal convictions – with drug charges landing at number one. (See end of release for county-by-county data).
The infographic below highlights the top 10 criminal convictions in Pennsylvania and shows the majority of defendants pleaded guilty to charges. We encourage reporters to use the full graphic or parts of the graphic by downloading a high-resolution version.
Criminal offense counts are based on non-summary offenses disposed as convictions on criminal dockets, as recorded in Pennsylvania’s Common Pleas Criminal Management System (CPCMS). Title 35 section 780-113, Title 75 section 3802, Title 18 sections 3921, 3929, 2701, 3925, 3502, 3701, 3503 and 2705.
