Reported Scams
The Pa Courts are aware of a number of county and statewide scams, and are advising the public to stay vigilant.
The Pa Courts will never place calls or text messages soliciting payments by card or any other means of electronic funds transfer for any reason.
Anyone receiving calls of this nature is encouraged to hang up immediately and contact state and/or local police as well as the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Protection at (800) 441-2555 or scams@attorneygeneral.gov.
Adams County
Adams County President Judge Thomas Campbell is advising the public to stay vigilant against a recently reported scam involving a letter being sent to the public under the signature of an Adams County Common Pleas Court Judge.
Bedford County
Bedford County Court Administration is advising the public to stay vigilant against multiple reported jury duty phone, email and text scams.
Butler County
Butler County President Judge S. Michael Yeager is advising the public to stay vigilant against multiple reported phone scams.
Franklin County
Franklin County President Judge Shawn Meyers is advising the public to stay vigilant against a recently reported scam involving the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.
Montgomery County
Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Carolyn Tornetta Carluccio along with County Jury Commissioners Merry Woods and Andrea Baptiste, is advising the public to stay vigilant against a recently reported jury duty related phone scam.
Schuylkill County
Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Jacqueline L. Russell is advising the public to stay vigilant against a recently reported jury duty related phone scam.
Supreme Court
Chief Justice of Pennsylvania Debra Todd is advising the public to stay vigilant against a recently reported text message scam involving the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
